DIABETES
There are some general systemic diseases, such as congenital circulatory disorders that leave imprints in the nail beds of the finger nails.
A doctor can detect early signs of diseases, such as Diabetes, with the use of a capillaroscope. In certain diseases the cuticles will widen and the nail fold will become thin.
In some cases, of poor blood circulation, the nails will become twisted and distorted.
